I've wanted to get into baitcasting for a while. After seeing the price and hearing generally positive things about Abu Garcia, this seemed like a nice opportunity. So, what do y'all think? Is this junk or viable?

Pretty sure you just got one of the best starter bait casters. How much was it? (You can always trust Abu I have 3 rods from them)

Obviously there’s better options,but for 30$ this is more than adequate, definitely not “junk” it’s lower end but abu Garcia is a quality product

I’ve always thought of Abu Garcia as a solid brand that if I was going to say anything negative about it it would be the price, so in my opinion you got a steal.

I have 2 of them. Rod is ok reel is pretty good. They’re selling at Ollie’s in South Florida for 29.99
